TRIGGER WARNING

This study revolves around an alleged case of sexual assault. Please consider this before you decided to continue with the study. Mental health is incredibly important and if you need to speak to anyone, please contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 800-656-4673. Remember, you are not alone. Help is always available.

Description of Research

The goal of the current study is to learn about how certain aspects and characteristics influence a juror’s perception of guilt and their recommended sentencing. Following a demographic survey, you will be asked to read over two short paragraphs detailing events from the point of views of the defendant and the alleged victim of a sexual assault. You will then be asked to answer three questions as if you were a juror on this case. It is expected that the study will take approximately fifteen minutes to complete.

Although you may not benefit directly from the research, others may ultimately benefit from the knowledge obtained in this study.
